With classes in CONCORD, and PARRAMATTA `Funky Butts' offers classes for
beginners through to Teaching Certificates and caters for ages 2.5 to Older Adults!
Talented, experienced and friendly teachers teach classes covering styles such as
HIP HOP, CONTEMPORARY, LYRICAL, MUSICAL THEATRE, JAZZ-BALLET,
CLASSICAL BALLET, TAP, BOOTY DANCING, DRAMA AND VARIOUS FITNESS CLASSES!
Children and adults have the opportunity to take part in recognised formal examinations
in Jazz -Ballet, Hip Hop and Tap styles. (These exams eventually lead to teacher qualifications!)
Jazz and Hip Hop exams are through the Australasian Dance Associations whose
Hip Hop syllabus is the first of it's kind in Australia!
(Tap examinations through the Glenn Wood Tap syllabus.)
In 2008 Funky Butts will be introducing
the Southern Federation of Dance's Classical Ballet syllabus.
Funky Butts offers specialised Primary programmes for young children
aged 2.5 to 8 years including work form the Australasian Dance Association,
Glenn Wood Tap and Southern Federation of Dance syllabui to foster a love of dance
and creativity in students while building solid foundations in dance technique in jazz,
ballet, musical theatre, hip hop and tap styles.
Our main focus is on providing a fun friendly environment for students
while offering quality dance instruction.
We offer Performance Troupes for talented and dedicated students
to enhance their dance ability and improve their performance experience and skills.
Performance troupes perform at many local events and enter eisteddfods and competitions.
Funky Butts also offers an Interstate Dance Performance Opportunity for
selected Senior students every two years.
Each year `Funky Butts' also holds an end of year concert where everyone gets a chance to perform!
We also hold Open Days during the year, which are another opportunity for
families and friends to come and watch students show what they can do!
Every student is treated like the star they are
and each individual supported to be the best dancer they can be!

We do not focus on specific students in classes. There are no 'teachers pets'.

through Performance troupes, NRL West Tigers Dance Opportunities,
Interstate Dance Opportunities and offering Teaching Certificates for students
who have completed all of their examinations.
- We are very aware of all the costs that can be involved in dancing
and try to minimise all costs wherever possible and seek more affordable alternatives
where costumes / uniforms etc of the same quality can be found for a better price.
- We offer discounts for enrolling in multiple classes and family discounts.
- Our classes are kept small, a maximum of 16 students
(no classes of 30 students at Funky Butts!)
so students are not lost in the crowd and all receive
quality dance education and personal attention.
- We love dancing and aim to foster that love and enjoyment in all our students!
