Harlow School of Dance was the first school in the St. George area.
June Gapps hasn't stopped dancing yet,
since teaching her first class in Oatley in 1955.
Along the way, she has opened branches in Mortdale, Bankstown,
Penshurst, Peakhurst along with her daughter Sue O'Riordan.
June & Sue both worked professionally as dancers themselves,
which enriches the experience they have passed
on to their students down the generations.
June & Sue also worked as professional choreographers both in Australia
& overseas, & have both been Examiners for the F.A.T.D.
June continues as a Senior Examiner for the F.A.T.D. & is
President of the Theatre Dance Faculty.
In 2000, June was selected for an Australian Sports Award
for her contribution to Dance.
Former students have gone on to dance professionally all over the world,
not only on the classical ballet stage, but also in musical theatre,
contemporary, & cabaret.
Many others have opened their own successful Dance Schools,
all over the country.
June & Sue now have a fully qualified & experienced teaching
faculty of twelve, to cover the many classes on offer.
Students may choose to do examinations in F.A.T.D.
Jazz, Disco, Tap, B.B.D.S. Hip Hop,
R.A.D. Classical Ballet or C.D.A. Contemporary.
Students are also welcome to join classes purely for exercise
& enjoyment, & take part in the annual concert.
Students who love to dance may also join Stageclass to perform
at local community events & competitions,
with the opportunity to tour.
In 2006 they had fun performing at Dreamworld & Sea World on the Gold Coast.
In 2009 they look forward to dancing in Disneyland, California.
Tiny Tots may start at the age of 2, boys are welcome,
& we even have students in their sixties coming along because they love it!
Other classes on offer now are Drama, Pilates, Acrobatics,
H.S.C. Dance - Years 11 & 12, Stretch & Strength,
Pointe, & Solos.
Harlow School of Dance is located in a purpose built
3 studio complex in Hurstville known as Jump St.,
which also boasts a Massage & Reflexology Clinic.
Also now on offer are classes in Yoga, Belly Dance, & Martial Arts.

In 2007 Harlow School of Dance were WINNERS
